Scoreboard Control Room Upgrade
As the Toronto Maple Leafs continue to evolve into a perennial contender in the NHL, their AHL affiliate Toronto Marlies are following the same growth curve. To be considered amongst the AHL elite, MLSE took it upon themselves to upgrade the venue and fan experience at the Coca-Cola Colliseum.
Those upgrades are driven by a completely revamped scoreboard control room, that now includes an HD video switcher, replay, graphics and audio services all delivered via IP. The Tricaster and 3Play systems utilize the latest Newtek technology introduction, NDI (Network Device Interface). Which creates a network bridge to transport video, audio and control between compatible devices.
The system is used to drive the centre-hung scoreboard with 4 massive LED screens as well as LED facia boards around the stadium.
Unity Systems Integration was approached by MLSE for their consulting services from the start of the project to provide systems design, console and room architectural drawings. UnitySI then continued the project by providing Project Management alongside Engineering design, commissioning and Installation services.
